About the role

AWS Infrastructure Physical Security team is seeking a Physical Security System Project Manager and Technology Expert to lead physical security projects. The position involves managing installation of physical security systems, designing systems for new construction, expansion, and retrofit projects, and ensuring operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation of approved physical security system hardware, including access control devices, intrusion detection devices, CCTV, and other components.
• Design physical security systems for new construction, expansion, and retrofit projects.
• Prepare security design standards, typical drawings, and technical specification documents for projects.
• Project manage multiple, concurrent security system installation projects and vendors.
• Assure operational readiness at project completion.
• Report vendor performance metrics regarding system installation, service delivery, and equipment availability / reliability.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• US Citizenship or equivalent status due to GovCloud restrictions.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.
• 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors.
• 2+ years’ experience in physical security project management.
• Ability to work a Back Half Day Schedule (Wednesday-Saturday).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree or above preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite.
• Experience in design, implementation, support, and evaluation of security-focused tools and services.
• 3+ years' experience working with design, installation, and integration of Access-Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems.
• PSP, CPP, PMP Certification preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple medium and large scale projects.

Skills

• Subject Matter Expert for physical security system testing and acceptance.
• Interpretation of Threat Assessments and AWS Physical Security Standards.
• Collaboration with AWS architectural and engineering teams.

Pay

Base salary range: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 USD annually.

Schedule

Back Half Day Schedule (Wednesday-Saturday).
