About the role

AWS Infrastructure Physical Security team is seeking a Physical Security System Project Manager and Technology Expert to lead physical security projects. The position involves managing data center physical security systems and projects, collaborating with AWS architectural and engineering teams, and ensuring operational readiness.

Responsibilities

• Manage installation of approved physical security system hardware, including access control devices, intrusion detection devices, CCTV, and other components.
• Design physical security systems for new construction, expansion, and retrofit projects.
• Create security design standards, typical drawings, and technical specification documents for projects.
• Project manage multiple, concurrent security system installation projects and vendors.
• Assure operational readiness at project completion through subject matter expertise in physical security system testing and acceptance.
• Prepare and archive project close-out documentation.
• Report vendor performance metrics regarding system installation, service delivery, and equipment availability/reliability.
• Maintain travel up to 25% of the time.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• US Citizenship or equivalent status due to the GovCloud region.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.
• 2+ years' Security Operations experience in data center, logistics, manufacturing, retail or similar industries, to include access control systems, CCTV, and defense in depth strategies.
• 2+ years’ experience in physical security project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Experience in design, implementation, support, and evaluation of security-focused tools and services.
• Experience working on physical security design and implementation of Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems.
• PSP, CPP, PMP Certification.
• Ability to manage multiple medium and large scale projects that are complex in nature and ability to interpret program objectives, develop project schedules, and manage adherence to established timetables.

Pay

Base salary range: $80,000.00 - $140,000.00 USD annually.
