Physical Security Enablement Specialist
Responsibilities
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair physical security systems across the data center, including access control, CCTV, network video recorders (e.g., Complete View), biometric systems, and card access readers (e.g., Suprema, AMAG Symmetry).
Conduct routine installations, upgrades, and deployments of security devices, including customer space installations.
Ensure optimal performance and reliability of all security technologies through proactive maintenance and timely issue resolution.
Respond to system alerts, failures, and operational incidents, diagnose root causes, and implement timely solutions.
Escalate complex issues as needed while maintaining ownership of resolution.
Create, manage, and complete work orders aligned with operational priorities.
Support customer deployments, including installation of security monitoring devices within customer spaces.
Collaborate with third-party vendors for maintenance, repairs, or installations.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and system updates.
Identify opportunities to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
Implement solutions to enhance site security technology performance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (technical certifications preferred)
- Typically, 1+ years of experience in physical security, facilities, critical infrastructure environments or related environments
- Basic knowledge of access control, CCTV, and security systems
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems
- Basic understanding of networking and server environments
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable using digital tools and work order systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a 24/7 environment and on-call rotation
