Responsibilities

  • Empower students with strong communication and critical thinking skills to become informed, thoughtful global citizens.
  • Work with students, parents, other teachers, and staff to achieve the goals set forth in the Souhegan High School Mission Statement.
  • Employ a pedagogical approach that promotes the understanding of subject matter content through clear explanations and engaging learning activities.
  • Plan and administer formative and summative assessments that align with lesson objectives and vary in difficulty.
  • Maintain healthy and productive professional relationships with all colleagues to enhance the school's professional culture.
  • Communicate regularly with families about student performance and learning, and respond thoughtfully to their communication.
  • Implement accommodations and modifications as outlined in Individual Education Plans (IEPs), 504 plans, and other support plans.
  • Monitor student behavior according to established standards of conduct, reinforcing positive behavior and addressing inappropriate behavior.
  • Fulfill the general duties of the position as outlined in the job description.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • State of NH Certification endorsement #1308, #1309, or #1313 (or eligible for NH Certification)
  • Applicants will be subjected to a criminal background check as required by law (RSA 189:13-a)

Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary and benefits package commensurate with experience.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.

Schedule

The contract period is based on the current collective bargaining unit agreement, and the position is exempt.
