Physical Plant Maintenance/Trades Technician - Killens Pond

The Centerpiece

The centerpiece of Killens Pond State Park, conveniently located in central Delaware, is the 66-acre millpond, which was established in the late 1700s.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of grounds and building maintenance including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, carpentry, plastering, welding, trash removal, custodial duties, equipment operation, snow removal, and waterpark mechanical work at Killens Pond State Park.
• Works on weekends, holidays, and often during inclement weather conditions.

Requirements

• Possession of a Delaware Journeyperson or higher Electrician license OR possession of a Journeyperson or higher Electrician license from another state which meets Delaware license requirements or equivalent requirements as determined by the State Board of Electrical Examiners.
• Six months experience in performing work in a variety of trades fields such as plumbing, carpentry, painting or HVAC.
• Six months experience in record keeping.
• Knowledge of interpreting blueprints, schematics or technical drawings.
• Knowledge of estimating cost, time and materials for projects.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
