Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to perform independent medical assessments for veterans. This role involves reviewing medical records, conducting comprehensive evaluations, and completing VA-specific Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) via a secure online portal, aiding the VA in disability determinations.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing veterans' medical records through a web portal.
• Conducting thorough, non-treating assessments to document health conditions.
• Completing and submitting detailed DBQs within 24 hours of assessments.
• Assessing up to four veterans daily.

Requirements

• Active MD or DO license with PM&R specialization.
• Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, or Psychiatry and Neurology is preferred; residency in relevant specialty considered.
• Strong typing skills and attention to detail.
