About the role

A qualified Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician is needed to perform independent medical assessments for veterans. This part-time position involves travel between multiple locations and requires a commitment to quality, accuracy, and veteran support.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze veterans' medical records via a secure online portal.
• Conduct comprehensive, non-treating assessments to document current health conditions.
• Complete and submit VA-specific Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and promptly.
• Assess up to four veterans daily and ensure timely, thorough documentation.

Requirements

• Active MD or DO license with PM&R specialization.
• Board certification in Neurological Surgery, PM&R, Psychiatry, or Neurology; or relevant residency training.
• Proficiency in data analysis, digital documentation, and record review.
• Strong attention to detail and typing skills.
• Motivation to serve veterans through objective, investigative assessments.
