Physical Education Teacher in Multidisciplinary setting

About the Role

We are searching for an energetic Physical Education/Health Teacher to join our faculty. The teacher is responsible for organizing innovative games and challenges that promote physical activity among students in grades K-8. The goal is to develop motor skills, physical development, proper exercise, and eating habits. The teacher must be knowledgeable about healthy life practices, use everyday relevant situations to teach these practices, and be creative and resourceful in using school space and limited resources to provide physical activities. Flexibility and engagement are essential for instructing students across multiple grade levels.

Responsibilities

• Supervising practical PE lessons, including both indoor and outdoor classes
• Ensuring children compete to their ability level and aren't exposed to unnecessary injury or illness through school sports
• Motivating school children to take up new sports or athletic pursuits
• Evaluating the performance of students throughout the school year
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• NJ Certifications in Physical Education/Health
