Physical Education Teacher
About the role
Rochester Arts & Sciences Academy (RASA) is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and student-centered Physical Education Teacher to join our team. We're seeking an educator who can inspire students to build healthy habits, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and discover the joy of being active in a positive, inclusive environment. This position serves students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, providing the opportunity to build lasting relationships with students as they grow throughout their elementary and middle school years.

Rochester Arts & Sciences Academy is a public charter school serving students from Preschool through 8th grade. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and developing the Middle Years Programme (MYP), we believe students learn best through inquiry, collaboration, creativity, and authentic learning experiences. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging physical education lessons that promote lifelong fitness and healthy habits.
- Teach age-appropriate skills in movement, teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical wellness.
- Create an inclusive environment where every student feels encouraged to participate and succeed.
- Foster confidence, perseverance, cooperation, and respect through physical activity.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs and abilities of all learners.
- Build strong relationships with students and families.
- Collaborate with an outstanding team of educators to support the whole child.
- Supervise and promote student safety during all physical activities.
- Participate in school events, professional learning, and our collaborative school culture.

Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota teaching license
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field
