About the role

The Full-Time Physical Education and Health Teacher position at Killingly High School requires a CT Certification in both Health (043) and Physical Education (044) for Pre-K - 12.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement physical education and health curricula that meet state standards.
• Provide instruction in a variety of physical activities and health topics to students.
• Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to support student learning.

Requirements

• CT Certification in Health (043) and Physical Education (044) for Pre-K - 12.
• Experience teaching physical education and health.
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physical Education or Health Education preferred.
• Teaching certification in Physical Education and Health.
• Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices.

Skills

• Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons.
• Proficiency in using technology for instructional purposes.
