About the role
The Full-Time Physical Education and Health Teacher position at Killingly High School requires a CT Certification in both Health (043) and Physical Education (044) for Pre-K - 12.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement physical education and health curricula that meet state standards.
- Provide instruction in a variety of physical activities and health topics to students.
- Assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to support student learning.
Requirements
- CT Certification in Health (043) and Physical Education (044) for Pre-K - 12.
- Experience teaching physical education and health.
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Physical Education or Health Education preferred.
- Teaching certification in Physical Education and Health.
- Knowledge of current educational trends and best practices.
