Physical Education at MCC offers a variety of courses to enhance both personal fitness and prepare for a career in physical education.
Program Highlights
- Aerobics, karate, scuba diving, wrestling, first aid, lifetime fitness, principles of group exercise, principles of health, and special topics in physical education
- Varsity sports including soccer, baseball, softball, cross country, volleyball, and basketball
- Fully equipped fitness or recreation centers offering personal fitness assessments, indoor swimming, basketball and volleyball courts, jogging tracks, weight training, StairMaster, rowing machines, aerobics, and more
- Built around the Associate in Arts (A.A.) degree which provides a solid foundation in general education courses transferable to a four-year institution and 17 hours of elective courses tailored to specific interests
Careers
P.E. teachers lead or coach students in sports and recreational activities, promoting healthy lifestyles and physical fitness. Potential careers include teacher, trainer, sports specialist, or scientist focused on health and physical fitness.
Transfer Made Simple
MCC works closely with many four-year colleges and universities to ensure that freshman- and sophomore-level courses can be transferred to a four-year institution, depending on the chosen major.
