Physical Architect - Junior Level

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Junior-Level Physical Architect to support vehicle design and development activities involving space allocation, interface definition, CAD master models, and vehicle product structure. You will help evaluate design concepts, identify potential interference and clearance issues, and work with cross-functional engineering teams to develop effective solutions for military vehicle systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of CAD Master Models and Interface Assemblies.
• Develop and maintain space claims for static and dynamic conditions, sway, shot lines, and keep-out zones.
• Support development of the vehicle Product Structure and preliminary EBOM.
• Participate in concurrent engineering reviews, technical reviews, drawing sign-offs, and internal/external checkpoint reviews.
• Support trial fits and vehicle builds.
• Perform system and component interference and clearance analysis, documenting results, impacts, and recommended solutions.
• Identify critical interfaces and coordinate interface definitions with impacted organizations and vendors.
• Support development of Interface Control Drawings, Class & Division Drawings, Installation Drawings, General Assembly Drawings, Appurtenance Drawings, and Turret & Hull Weld
