Job Summary
The Physical medicine and rehabilitation Specialist also known as Physiatrist evaluates and treats patients with physical and/or cognitive impairments and disabilities that result from musculoskeletal conditions (such as neck or back pain, or sports or work injuries), neurological conditions (such as stroke, brain injury, or spinal cord injury), or other medical conditions.
About the Role
Essen Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical medicine and rehabilitation Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position will be responsible for providing comprehensive evaluations and treatment plans for patients with a wide range of physical and cognitive impairments.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients with physical and/or cognitive impairments resulting from various medical conditions
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve functional outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on managing their conditions
- Participate in continuing medical education and professional development activities
Requirements
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board certification in Physical medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)
- At least 3 years of post-residency experience in PM&R
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
