Physiatry APP (Nurse Practitioner/Physicians Assistant)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a physiatrist, you will round at 1–3 Skilled Nursing Facilities or similar rehabilitation centers, 1–3 days per week at each location. Your primary focus will be delivering specialized physiatry care to 25+ patients per day who are experiencing difficulty participating in therapy due to pain or functional limitations.
- Performing focused assessments and developing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with facility primary care teams to optimize therapy participation and functional recovery.
- Providing targeted interventions such as joint injections, Botox treatments, dry needling, and medication management based on patient-specific needs.
- Serving as the sole physiatrist on-site, operating with a high level of autonomy while supported by a collaborative clinical team for consultation as needed.
- Coeordinating care and referring to other specialties or services for issues beyond the scope of physiatry.
Qualifications
- A current, unrestricted PA or NP license.
- DEA licensed or willing to obtain DEA licensure.
- Nursing home and/or physiatry experience is a plus, but not required.
- Comfort and interest in performing peripheral joint injections (knees, shoulders, hips).
- A genuine passion for providing professional, personalized care in an autonomous environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with EHR charting

The Pay Range
The pay range for this role is: $160,000 - $185,000 USD per year (Reno, NV)
