Photography Lab Technician

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for administrative and technical work involved in the receiving, inspecting, and issuing of film, video, photo, lighting, and AV equipment, materials, and supplies.
  • Circulating Educational Media equipment through WebCheckout.
  • Thorough testing of all equipment, cycle counting, and inventories.
  • Responsible for mixing and restocking chemicals in the photography facilities, ensuring the correct disposal and recycling of chemistry as per OSHA standards.
  • Maintaining and repairing lab equipment.
  • Supervising facilities, student work-study monitors.
  • Additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Vocational/Technical School or High School diploma/GED and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Good communication and personal skills, including computer literacy. Have ample experience with analog and digital cameras, including high-end digital photography and video equipment. Experienced with analog photography equipment including medium format and 4x5. Experienced with lighting equipment including tungsten, LED, Strobe systems, digital printers and scanners. Familiarity with Adobe CC suite including Photoshop, Premier, Lightroom, and Bridge.
