Job Description

May be asked to teach days, evenings, hybrid/online and in the dual enrollment program. Online/hybrid teaching requires additional campus-based training.

Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to teach photography, fine arts, or art courses at North Orange County Community College District.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s in photography, fine arts, or art OR
  • Bachelor’s in any of the above AND
  • Master’s in art history or humanities OR
  • Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area; OR
  • The equivalent.

Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in helping arts students from historically underrepresented and/or marginalized groups, nontraditional students, speakers of other languages, and students with learning disabilities.

Salary Range

$1572.67 - $1725.85 per lecture unit rate, $1572.67 - $1725.85 per lab parity unit rate, $1258.16 - $1380.60 per lab unit rate
