About the role

The successful candidate will facilitate student learning in the field of photography, adhering to the stated course objectives, content, and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Teach classes in Photography
  • Adhere to course objectives and content
  • Initiate and participate in efforts to improve student success
  • Achieve consistent assessment of learning outcomes and teaching effectiveness
  • Maintain professional ethics and licensure/certifications
  • Integrate computer applications into teaching
  • Establish and maintain collegial relationships with students, peers, staff, and administrators
  • Communicate effectively in various settings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Photography and two (2) years of practical experience in photography or a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related subject area and six (6) years of work experience as a professional photographer
  • Knowledge of and teaching experience in both standard photography and digital technology
  • Significant record of professional practice in photography evidenced by a portfolio of work
  • Innovative, flexible, and positive teaching style
  • Ability to communicate effectively in multiple formats
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts and solve practical problems
  • Ability to interpret and apply concepts such as probability and statistical inference
