Key Responsibilities
- I. Transport & Load-In
- Equipment Delivery: Safely transport and unload photo booth kiosks, backdrops, and lighting kits from the delivery vehicle to the activation footprint.
- Spatial Placement: Position the booth and backdrop according to the event floor plan, ensuring optimal flow for guest traffic and safety.
- Hardware & Aesthetic Assembly
- Physical Build: Assemble the kiosk stand, mount the camera/iPad housing, and secure weighted backdrop stands.
- Lighting Rigging: Set up and diffuse professional studio lighting (LED panels or strobes) to eliminate shadows and ensure high-quality skin tones.
- Prop & Detail Management: Sanitize and neatly arrange the prop table; ensure the backdrop is wrinkle-free and perfectly centered.
- Technical Calibration & Launch
- Network Connectivity: Establish a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or Hotspot) for real-time digital sharing and cloud gallery uploads.
- Software Configuration: Launch the event-specific interface, verify the digital "start screen" branding, and test the printer for alignment.
- Image Quality Testing: Conduct "test shots" to calibrate exposure, focus, and white balance based on the venue's specific lighting conditions.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all cables are safely tucked or taped down (gaffed) to prevent tripping hazards before handing the booth off to the event lead.
Requirements & Skills
- Efficiency: Ability to complete a full technical set-up within a strict 60–90 minute window.
- Tech Proficiency: Experience with iPadOS/Windows and a basic understanding of photography principles (lighting and framing).
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and maneuver equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Independence: Capability to troubleshoot technical glitches (connectivity or printer issues) solo during the build phase.
