The Phoenix City of Fire Department seeks a Fire Protection Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Conducts inspections and reviews plans for fire protection systems
• Develops and updates codes and standards related to fire protection
• Assists in the design and implementation of fire safety programs
• Provides technical support to other departments within the Fire Department

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in fire protection engineering
• Knowledge of NFPA codes and standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona driver’s license
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with building inspection software
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations
