About the role
Constellation Energy seeks a Fire Protection/Programs Engineer to support safe, reliable utility operations. You will develop and maintain fire protection programs, perform hazard and risk assessments, and ensure compliance with NFPA, NRC, and other regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain fire protection programs for utility facilities
- Perform fire hazard analyses and risk assessments to protect people and assets
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, NRC, and other applicable fire protection codes and standards
- Review engineering designs and plant modifications for fire safety impacts
- Coordinate inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire detection and suppression systems
- Lead and document fire-related incident investigations and corrective actions
- Prepare technical reports, procedures, and regulatory submittals
- Support internal and external audits, including regulator and insurer reviews
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams on fire protection issues
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in fire safety and loss prevention
