Phlebotomy Technician

About the role

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.

Responsibilities

• Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Store specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/tube, accurately labels, follows different procedures as outlined by specific protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain integrity of the specimen.

Requirements

• 6+ months of experience working as a Phlebotomist in lab and hospital settings (mandatory).
• Pediatric and geriatric experience (mandatory).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Must be located closer to Austin, Texas.

Pay

$18.00 - $18.61/hr
