Phlebotomy Tech Part time

We are seeking a Phlebotomist/Central Processing Tech for our Medical Center located in Boise, Idaho. In this role you can make a difference by applying your current phlebotomy experience and skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples, correctly identify patients, transport specimens, and perform related clerical and computer functions under general supervision.
• Perform manual tasks involved with registering, ordering, proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages.
• Utilize relevant computer programs and perform data entry.
• Serve as the central communication point for the laboratory for all incoming requests.
• Maintain quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories and oversee reporting of results received.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
• Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.

Pay

Market-competitive pay with an additional pay differential for evening shift, night shift, and weekend work.
