Part Time Phlebotomy Services Technician

Responsibilities

• Performs venous, capillary, urine drug screen, swab collection, or other specimen collection.
• Ensures quality collection of specimens including appropriate sample container, sample volume, collection priority, and sample identification.
• Solves unusual test orders by following up with care giver, reference lab, pathology, or referring to lab leadership when appropriate.
• Receives specimens, assesses priority, assures appropriate specimen identification and type, and processes hospital-registered and outreach patients.
• Centrifuges, aliquots, and distributes samples to appropriate testing areas, including loading samples onto various analyzers.

• Education: High School Grad or Equivalent [Required]
• Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]
• Field Of Study: Completion of a phlebotomy program
• Work Experience: Phlebotomy work experience
