Phlebotomy Tech
Full time, rotating shift (10-hour mixed shift) with occasional weekends.
Position Summary
We are seeking a Phlebotomy Tech for our Baker City hospital.
What You Will Do
- Perform the manual tasks involved with registering, ordering, proper collection, labeling, processing, and distribution of specimens for laboratory testing from patients of all ages.
- Utilize relevant computer programs and perform data entry.
- Serve as the central communication of the laboratory for all incoming requests.
- Maintain quality and quantity of specimens sent to reference laboratories and the reporting of results received.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and hospital staff.
- Good working knowledge of medical terminology and computers.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
- Experience in phlebotomy in a hospital setting preferred.
