Phlebotomy Team Lead

About the role

Supervise and perform phlebotomy duties across multiple sites, manage patient flow, inventory, and staff performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage at various locations
• Assist in supervising phlebotomists
• Observe and report on employee performance
• Conduct site inspections
• Deliver ongoing training and complete competency assessments
• Address customer service issues
• Coordinate schedules
• Perform all phlebotomy and site coordination tasks as needed
• Promote teamwork and ensure effective communication among staff

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred 3+ years of clinical/hospital phlebotomy experience or certified through an accredited agency
• Ability to work well in fast-paced, high-volume environments
• Must pass a color blindness test
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong customer service, communication, and independent working skills
• Flexibility for overtime and travel
