Phlebotomy Team Lead

As a Phlebotomy Team Leader, you will join our team in Monroe, NY, providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and serving as the face of the company. Schedule

Monday - Thursday, 9:00am - 6:30pm and Fridays, 8:00am - 1:00pm.

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage and travel to various sites to perform phlebotomy job duties
• Assist in the supervision of a team of phlebotomists covering multiple Patient Service Centers & client sites
• Observe new employee performance and report observations to the supervisor
• Perform site inspections on a regular basis and accurately report all findings
• Provide continuous training to phlebotomy staff as directed
• Complete new hire and annual competency assessments when necessary
• Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels, and information logs
• Address any customer service-related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
• Review daily/weekly schedule with supervisor and make schedule adjustments as needed
• Promote teamwork, cohesiveness, and effective communication among coworkers
• Perform all duties of a phlebotomist and site coordinator as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 3 years or more of experience as a phlebotomist
• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• In-depth knowledge of phlebotomy duties, responsibilities, and techniques
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortably working under minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years or more of phlebotomy experience
• 3 years or more of experience as a people leader

Pay

Pay Range: $17.75 - $25.00 per hour. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
