About the role
This role will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and serve as the face of the company. You will work with a variety of patients, team members, and clinics/locations, developing your skills and positioning yourself for growth within the organization. Responsibilities
- Provide coverage and travel to various sites to perform phlebotomy job duties
- Assist in the supervision of a team of phlebotomists covering multiple Patient Service Centers and client sites
- Observe new employee performance and report observations to the supervisor
- Perform site inspections on a regular basis and accurately report all findings
- Provide continuous training to phlebotomy staff as directed
- Complete new hire and annual competency assessments when necessary
- Manage and monitor patient flow, wait times, inventory levels, and information logs
- Address any customer service-related issues in a prompt and respectful manner
- Review daily/weekly schedule with supervisor and make adjustments as needed
- Promote teamwork, cohesiveness, and effective communication among coworkers
- Perform all duties of a phlebotomist and site coordinator as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume work environments
- Must pass a standardized color blindness test
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital environment
- Current or prior LabCorp experience
Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm
- Overtime and rotating weekends may be required

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours per week, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible only for the 401(k) plan. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
