Phlebotomy Float

About the Role

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Asheville, NC. As a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions, we help healthcare providers, researchers, and patients make informed decisions that advance care. Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• Be at least 21 years old

• Sign-on Bonus: $3,000.00
• Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement

Schedule

Monday - Friday, hours vary between 6:00am - 6:00pm
