Responsibilities

Labcorp is seeking a phlebotomist float to join our team in the Hampton Roads, VA Area. The work schedule will be Monday- Friday 7am- 7pm, with hours varying and rotating shifts.

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

The minimum qualifications for this role include a high school diploma or equivalent, phlebotomy certification, or completion of a phlebotomy training program, or 6 months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

• Preferred qualifications include 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
• Additional job standards include a proven track record in providing exceptional customer service, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Must be comfortable working under minimal supervision, flexible to work overtime as needed, and able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation, and be at least 21 years old

Pay

The pay range for this role is $17.75-$27.69. PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. A float incentive of an additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement is also available.

Schedule

The work schedule will be Monday- Friday 7am- 7pm, with hours varying and rotating shifts. Application window is 6/16/26 - 6/30/26.
