Phlebotomist Technician

Must be located near Austin, Texas.

About the role

Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, and related duties.

Responsibilities

• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Labels, centrifuges, splits, and freezes specimens as required by test order.
• Packages specimens for transport.
• Stores specimen samples according to required temperature.
• Places samples in appropriate collection container/tube, accurately labels, and follows different procedures as outlined by specific protocols deemed necessary for transport to maintain specimen integrity.

Requirements

• 6+ months of experience working as a Phlebotomist in a lab and hospital is mandatory.
• Pediatric and geriatric experience is mandatory.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.61 per hour. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
