About the role
Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, and related duties.
Responsibilities
- Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
- Labels, centrifuges, splits, and freezes specimens as required by test order.
- Packages specimens for transport.
- Stores specimen samples according to required temperature.
- Places samples in appropriate collection container/tube, accurately labels, and follows different procedures as outlined by specific protocols deemed necessary for transport to maintain specimen integrity.
Requirements
- 6+ months of experience working as a Phlebotomist in a lab and hospital is mandatory.
- Pediatric and geriatric experience is mandatory.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.61 per hour. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
