Phlebotomist Specimen Processor - Nights

About the role

We're seeking a Phlebotomist Specimen Processor to join our team at Ochsner Health. This position supports the department in patient care by performing various laboratory functions, conducting phlebotomy procedures, processing and receiving specimens, accessing and distributing specimens, and performing and interpreting specific test procedures.

Requirements

Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education: Completion of a phlebotomy course.

Required Work Experience: None.

Prior Certifications: Current license or trainee license in the state of practice preferred.

Skills

• Computer skills and dexterity for data entry and patient information retrieval.
• Proficiency with Windows-style applications and keyboard.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of venipuncture procedures.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
