Phlebotomist (Nights)

Core Responsibilities

• Travel daily to multiple nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and other residential care environments to perform phlebotomy procedures, pick up specimens, or deliver supplies.
• Verify patient identity and ensure proper labeling of all specimens according to laboratory protocol.
• Collect blood samples using proper techniques and equipment.
• Prepare specimens for transport to the laboratory, ensuring appropriate packaging and documentation.
• Follow all CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control regulations.
• Maintain communication with lab personnel, facility staff, and healthcare providers regarding any issues or concerns.
• Document all visits, patient interactions, and sample collections accurately in electronic or paper logs.
• Maintain phlebotomy supplies, including restocking and proper disposal of sharps and biohazardous materials. May require delivery of supplies to facilities serviced by the Company.
• Provide excellent patient service, especially to elderly and medically fragile populations.

Minimum Requirements

• A High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification and registration with LSBME preferred.
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience, preferably in a mobile or geriatric setting preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Able to work a rotating on call schedule, including weekends and/or holidays as needed.
• Able to have reliable means of communication which allows mobile access to various online Company applications.
