Phlebotomist / Per Diem (Weekend Coverage)

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples and perform bleeding time tests following standard procedures.
• Ensure proper specimen labeling and vein preservation techniques.
• Transport specimens to testing sites promptly.
• Maintain adequate supplies and report needs.
• Engage in quality assurance, training, and continuing education activities.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: Certification (e.g., ASCP, NCA).
• 0-1 years related experience.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate web-based applications.

Skills

• Effective written and oral communication skills in English.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures.
• Strong teamwork and customer service abilities.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.

Physical Requirements

Light work involving standing, moving, and exerting up to 20 pounds of force as needed.
