Phlebotomist- Per Diem

About the role

This is a casual/PRN phlebotomy position based in Maplewood, NJ (Essex County), with potential coverage at other regional sites. Hours are "as needed" and may vary between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, performing skilled specimen collections, and representing the company in Patient Service Centers or client offices. Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
• Accurately and timely enter patient information into data systems
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as required
• Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience or completion of a Phlebotomy certification/training program from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Pay

Pay range: $17.75 – $24.00 per hour. All job offers are based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data. Eligible employees may participate in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

This is a casual/PRN position with variable hours, ranging from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, based on operational needs.
