Phlebotomist, Outpatient

About the role

Phlebotomist Level I, OP will interact and service all age groups including neonatal, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric. The role requires proficiency in phlebotomy for all groups and a commitment to continuous performance improvement in laboratory specimen collection processes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Entry Level; New Hire

Certification & Licensures

• BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart ‘Healthcare Provider’ (HCP) - AHA approved

Career Advancement

All existing staff will be evaluated based on established criteria. All tiers must fulfill requirements to move to a higher level. Any full-time or part-time phlebotomist is eligible to participate in the professional career advancement ladder. Temporary staff and per diem staff are not eligible. Participation is optional. Employees must request advancement and will be granted upon completion of required criteria, verified by their direct supervisor. Approval is subject to change on an annual basis.
