We are seeking a talented and experienced Phlebotomist to enhance our team.
Responsibilities
- Perform blood draws and prepare samples for lab testing.
- Take patient vitals, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Aid with patient intake, medical history, and preparation for exams.
- Administer EKGs, if trained, and assist with other diagnostic tests.
- Maintain patient records and update medical charts.
- Sterilize equipment and ensure a clean, safe environment.
- Provide support to healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Handle medical supplies and manage inventory.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Refer complex requests to the appropriate staff.
- Ensure excellent patient service and a welcoming environment.
- Assist with inventory monitoring of supplies.
- Scan and upload patient documents daily.
- Train new staff on daily procedures as needed.
- Support clinic marketing and profitability efforts.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in phlebotomy, preferably in a clinical or weight loss setting, is a plus or a Certification as a Phlebotomist.
- Strong knowledge of blood collection techniques and safety protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle confidential patient information responsibly.
- Experience working with medical software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Basic understanding of weight loss treatments and how lab results influence patient care.
- Experience in a multi-disciplinary healthcare setting.
- Experience with administering EKGs and taking vital signs is a plus.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $18-$22 per hour.
