About The Role
In this hybrid position, you will use your existing Medical Assistant and phlebotomy skills while receiving hands-on training to become an Ophthalmic Tester/Technician. You’ll work closely with our physicians, technicians, and clinical team to support exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Medical Assistant & Phlebotomy Duties:
- Perform venipuncture and properly handle lab specimens.
- Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories.
- Assist with patient intake and coordination of care.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe exam and procedure rooms.
- Ophthalmic Testing Duties (Training Provided):
- Learn and perform diagnostic testing such as:
- Visual acuity
- Tonometry
- OCT imaging
- Visual fields
- Fundus photography
- Document patient findings in the EMR accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist during in-office procedures.

Qualifications
- Medical Assistant experience required (certification preferred but not required).
- Phlebotomy experience required (certification a plus).
- Strong patient-care and communication skills.
- Ability to learn new procedures, equipment, and workflows quickly.
- Professional, reliable, and team-oriented.
- Prior ophthalmology experience is not required — we provide full training.
