Responsibilities

• Obtain quality blood samples using a variety of phlebotomy methods for all age groups.
• Provide rapid response to medical emergencies such as traumas and codes.
• Work independently and as a team, actively partnering with team members by fostering an inclusive work environment, and respecting others with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
• Interact with patients, nurses, providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Use a variety of computer programs and systems throughout your daily routine.
• Accurate patient identification, quality specimen labeling, handling, and transportation.
• Answer phones and assist with the training of students and new employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid phlebotomy certification from an approved laboratory certification agency (preferred).
• Experience working in a medical field (preferred).
• Moderate to advanced computer skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely, and adjust to changes in work volumes and projects.
• Ability to push a cart and walk distances.

Pay and Schedule

• Phlebotomist I: $20.00- $25.09 per hour.
• Phlebotomist II: $20.00 - $26.79 per hour.

Schedule

• Full Time.
• Hours/Pay Period: 80.
• Fulltime hours, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM rotating days. Every other weekend.
