Responsibilities
- Obtain quality blood samples using various phlebotomy methods for all age groups.
- Provide rapid response to medical emergencies such as traumas and codes.
- Work independently and as part of a team, fostering an inclusive environment.
- Interact with patients, nurses, providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Use a variety of computer programs and systems throughout the day.
- Accurately identify patients, label, handle, and transport specimens.
- Answer phones and assist with training of students and new employees.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid phlebotomy certification from an approved agency.
- Medical Assistant, Medical Laboratory Technician, or Medical Technologist certification (preferred).
- Moderate to advanced computer skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work, manage time, and adjust to changes in work volumes.

Pay and Schedule
The pay range for Phlebotomist I is $20.00- $25.09 per hour, while Phlebotomist II ranges from $20.00 - $26.79 per hour. Benefits are available to eligible employees.
Schedule
Part-time hours are available, with a minimum of 8 hours per pay period on weekdays and every other weekend (Friday/Saturday) from 10PM-6:00am. Holidays are covered during these shifts.
