Phlebotomist I - 1st Shift

About the role

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client's healthcare team in Bound Brook, NJ.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm
• Saturday: 7:00 am – 11:00 am

Pay

$20–$22 per hour on W-2; rate based on experience and educational qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing.
• Follow established practices and procedures while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
• Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures and performing draws in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence and sensitivity to patient information.
• Perform daily activities accurately and on time with minimal on-site supervision.
• Provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Work flexible hours based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
• Serve pediatric and geriatric patients.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training (e.g., medical assistant or paramedic) preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Minimum of 6 months experience; one or more years preferred.
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
• Keyboard/data entry experience required.
