Phlebotomist (Full-Time) - Lab Systems

Job Summary

The Phlebotomist conducts specimen collection and processing with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, completeness, safety, and compliance while maintaining a professional image and adhering to our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Follow proper specimen identification procedures during specimen collection and labeling.
• Collect, prepare, process, store and/or transport specimens using correct techniques and anticoagulants.
• Receive incoming phone calls, document and follow through on incoming requests.
• Investigate, document, and resolve specimen issues to ensure timely and accurate reporting of results.
• Perform housekeeping tasks involved in maintaining the laboratory in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
• Train new students, staff and document proficiency as directed.
• Effectively use computer options relevant to job duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED from an accredited school required.
• Phlebotomy Certificate preferred.

Requirements

• High School/GED
• Phlebotomy Tech licensure/certification
