Phlebotomist Floater

Job Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
• Process billing information and collect payments when necessary
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary

Requirements

• Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, scheduled hours vary between 6:00am-6:00pm and rotating Saturdays
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• 2 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED or equivalent2 year or more of phlebotomy experience
• Preferred Qualifications: 3 year or more of phlebotomy experience

Additional Job Standards

• In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record with reliable transportation
• At least 21 years’ old
