Phlebotomist Floater - 1st Shift

Local contract position in Toms River, NJ (08755) with a minimum duration of 3 months.

Schedule

6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, every other Saturday.

Pay

$28.40 per hour (rate based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education).

Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, record maintenance data, and handle decontamination.
• Update and maintain accurate patient information.
• Collect and store specimens following established procedures.
• Clearly explain venipuncture and other specimen collection processes (e.g., urine or fecal) to patients.
• Demonstrate proper technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Interpret and fulfill all physicians’ orders accurately.
• Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.
• Verify test requisitions or computer labels against scripts for 100% accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of phlebotomy experience.
