About the role

The successful candidate will join Labcorp's Patient Service Center as a Phlebotomist. This role involves performing blood collections, specimen collections, data entry, billing, and administrative tasks. The position requires excellent customer service skills and a commitment to continuous learning and growth within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Enter patient information accurately and promptly into the system
• Process billing information and collect payments when required
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary
• Travel to additional sites when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
• At least 21 years of age

Note: PST’s may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics. Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
