Phlebotomist

Responsibilities
- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
- Process billing information and collect payments when required
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs
- Provide superior customer service to all patients
- Handle administrative and clerical duties as necessary
- Travel to additional sites when needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency
- Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 or more years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital environment
- Current or prior Labcorp experience
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (additional hours may be requested as needed)

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary employees are eligible for the 401(k) plan only. Employees on a 7-on/7-off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
