About the role

As a Phlebotomist in our Clinton Township, Michigan Patient Service Center, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and represent the company as the face of Labcorp. This role includes opportunities for continuous growth within the organization and may qualify for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other diagnostic needs
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information
  • Process billing information and collect payments as necessary
  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs
  • Provide superior customer service to all patients
  • Handle administrative and clerical duties as needed
  • Travel to additional sites when required

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)
  • Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency, or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience
  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision
  • Reliable transportation
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year of phlebotomy experience

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, and every other Saturday, 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
