About the role

Kadlec is offering a $2,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment. Under the general supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, performs a variety of functions related to specimen collection, specimen processing, data entry, receiving and logging phone orders, retrieving lab results for physicians or their representatives, control and management of confidential information and documents, and report sorting and filing. Specimen collection for blood samples will be restricted to venous or capillary access.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen collection for blood samples using venous or capillary access.
• Processes specimens according to established protocols.
• Enters data accurately into the electronic health record system.
• Receives and logs phone orders for laboratory tests.
• Retrieves lab results for physicians or their representatives.
• Controls and manages confidential information and documents.
• Sorts and files reports as needed.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or GED from an accredited educational institution.
• Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification upon hire or Washington Medical Assistant Certification upon hire.
• One (1) year Customer service.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal Phlebotomy Training Program.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
