Responsibilities

• Aid in assessing donor suitability.
• Build rapport with donors to ensure their comfort and satisfaction, maintaining donor confidentiality.
• Respond to and assist with donor reactions.
• Monitor donors and equipment to ensure their health and product quality.
• Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines.
• Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment.

Requirements

• Superior customer service standards.
• A High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• An interest in making a difference in the world.
• Required state licensures or certifications where applicable.

Qualifications

• Patient, reliable, and committed to keeping donors comfortable and happy.
• Standing for 6 to 8 hours per day.
• Bending and twisting neck and waist for 1-2 hours per day.
• Frequent hand movement of both hands with fast, simple finger movements.
• Ability to make precise coordinated movements of the fingers to grasp and manipulate objects.
• Frequent foot movement; may squat, crouch, or sit on heels.
• Light lifting of 15lbs. with a maximum lift of 50lbs.
• May reach below shoulder height.
• Hearing acuity essential.
• Color perception/discrimination, near vision, and far vision correctable to 20/30 and 20/100 in the other eye.
• Able to comprehend and follow instructions to complete assigned tasks.
