Opportunity
As a One Medical Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant (Lab Services Specialist/Member Support Specialist), you will provide an exceptional experience for our patients and help them manage an important part of their care journey by performing venipuncture and other clinical support services. You will be an ambassador for patients, ensuring they have a positive in-office experience. You will also handle administrative tasks and contribute to team development.
What You’ll Likely Work On
- Use impeccable C-I-CARE in all patient interactions, ensuring a positive in-office experience through patient intake, same-day scheduling, follow-up scheduling, and billing.
- Provide best-in-class venipuncture services, including extended scope duties such as EKGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs.
- Maintain high standards of in-office care by properly labeling, handling, and processing specimens, and managing inventory and tool sterilization.
- Care for members beyond the lab room by answering messages, following up on lab cases, and assisting with clerical duties like biometric screening forms, medical record reviews, billing inquiries, and DOH reporting.
- Contribute to team development through rounding, attending team huddles, problem-solving, and supporting providers with ad-hoc requests.
- Perform opening and closing duties, maintaining the look and feel of both patient and employee-facing spaces, and organizing supplies.
- Master our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, Circulation, RingCentral, and our Electronic Medical Record System.
What You’ll Need
- An active phlebotomy certification to practice in WA
- At least 6 months of relevant experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
- Experience working on collaborative, diverse, multi-disciplinary teams (remote experience a plus)
- A proven ability to display confidence and instill trust during the collection process while delivering individualized, human-centered, customer-focused care
- A proven track record of persisting through change, consistently stepping up to take action on challenges, and learning quickly and effectively when faced with new situations or tasks
Compensation and Benefits
The range for this role is $25.00 to $27.00 per hour based on a standard full-time schedule. Total compensation packages may be based on factors unique to particular candidates, such as skill sets, depth of experience, and work location. The total compensation package for this position may also include benefits.
