Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Philanthropic Communications Manager to join the team. This role will be Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities
- Works closely with campaign leadership, internal stakeholders, and organizational partners to create Board meeting presentations, talking points, briefing materials, event collateral, newsletters, case statements, individualized funding proposals, brochures, and other high-impact written communications and donor-facing collateral.
- Manages multiple concurrent writing and production projects to meet deadlines; develops timelines, coordinates reviews/approvals, and ensures timely delivery.
- Works closely with fundraising professionals, physicians, executives, clinicians, and/or other colleagues to gather information and ensure content accuracy, sensitivity, and alignment with Inova brand and philanthropic strategy.
- Under the Director’s leadership, creates and/or supports digital content and strategies for web and social channels in partnership with digital stakeholders, ensuring consistent messaging across platforms.
- Communicates medical information that resonates with non-experts from medical breakthroughs and innovative solutions to emotional appeal; connecting them to Inova and opportunities to invest in world-class healthcare.
- Conducts pertinent research, with guidance from leadership, on current funding priorities, programs, donor biographical background, and past donor communications in the database to support the development of individualized proposals, reports, and other communications materials.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; or Associate degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum Experience requirement; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum Experience requirement.
- 6 years of experience in non-profit, healthcare, fundraising, campaign, marketing, communications, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong philanthropy knowledge base.
- Experience and proficiency with writing marketing and campaign materials.
- Has been in a non-profit philanthropy role.
- Philanthropy/foundation marketing skills.
